Sculptra
Sculptra® is a subtle collagen stimulator when injected into the deep dermis/subdermal layers, the PLLA microparticles stimulate your body's fibroblasts to produce new collagen over time. The minimum price of one treatment is $850 - $1700, depending on your existing collagen and goals. The process is gradual: after injection there is some initial fullness, but the main effect comes as your body builds collagen, over several weeks to months. Sculptra® can improve the hollowing or volume loss in cheeks, temples, or mid-face. It is shown to improve skin texture, firmness, and overall skin integrity.
Prior to your Sculptra® injection, your provider will remove any makeup from your face and prep the skin. Common side effects include swelling that lasts for 48-72 hours, bruising for up to two weeks, and small bumps in the target area for a few weeks post-injection. For optimal results you must massage the treated areas 5 times a day, for 5 minutes each time, for 5 days post-treatment. High doses of vitamin E supplements
Omega-3 fatty acids such as fish oil and flax oil
St. John’s Wort
Ginkgo Biloba
Ginseng
Garlic
Glucosamine
For two days prior to your appointment, avoid drinking alcohol.
The results of Sculptra® can be seen as early as 2 months and can last up to two years, depending on your existing collagen and how much Sculptra® is injected. Before completing the procedure, we will work to understand your desired outcome and develop an individualized treatment plan.
